A good all round  guide for young fishermen of all aspects of angling.  Includes chapters on fishing tackle, ocean fishing, bait fishing, fly fishing. A comprehensive book on sea angling from boat and shore covering all of the usual disciplines, plus chapters on ocean fishing, modern improvements in fishing tackle, flyfishing in the sea, and one on "Baits cast with the fly rod," which includes sole- and gurnard-skin flies, a fly made from dog-fish tail fibres (at last, a use for them!), and flyfishing with a mouse-tail. John Murray  London 1963, 8vo. Illust. 174pp.  D/J.  Shark fishing off Africa on a quest to capture an adult tiger shark on behalf of the natural History of Geneva using a dhow and a native crew.  The author has encounters with hammerheads, grey nurses and sawfish but no Tiger shark. He relates his voyage down the Gulf of Aden and a climb to the ruins of the ancient city of Cana.  This adventurer is the younger son of the author of the Sherlock Holmes stories.   Supported by black and white photographs. Minor rubbing and sl tear in D/J. - Very Good
